and is way 2 long for the 2 foot high tank. You will have to cut the intake pipes on the 2700 if your tank has a hood. A big priority here for me with this tank is to set everything up the right way the first time, I don't want to get half way through and realise I should have done something different and its too late to change. I am looking to spend around $500 for the filtration and I'm tossing up between 2 Aquaone Nautalis 2700 (I would upgrade the media to filter floss and Matrix), 2 Eheim 2217 (not sure if these would be enough with only 6L of filter capacity), or just getting 1 Eheim 2260.Īlthough I haven't yet decided on the stocking arrangements, I would like the capacity to sometime in the future have a Malawi or Tanganyikan display.
#EHEIM 2260 CASE HOW TO#
I currently have a 5 foot tank which I am taking down after an escape of water damaged my cabinet, carpet and skirting boards and have decided to bite the bullet and get the tank of my dreams, a 900L 8x2x2 monster I have been very happy with the Aquaone Nautalis 1400 on my current tank, but I am scratching my head at how to filter something with almost triple the volume.
